App no. 1: Planner

Microsoft Planner is a web-based tool for task management. This easy-to-use tool makes it possible to plan tasks and manage small projects without complex planning effort. With Microsoft Planner, you can efficiently allocate and organize times and tasks. You can also set deadlines and share files. Team members can even communicate with each other via Planner.
Microsoft Planner is a suitable tool for the following applications:
  • to manage smaller projects
  • for agile procedures such as Kanban or Scrum
  • when no resources or capacities need to be managed
  • if no task dependencies are required
  • to connect Project Online Client via standard interface or third-party tools
Agile frameworks are already in use in many companies. This allows tasks to be completed iteratively. Microsoft Planner offers the full flexibility required for this. You can structure the plans according to your requirements, for example by phase, topic or area. The teams can be assigned to individual roles and have the corresponding rights to make changes in Planner or not. You decide for yourself who can and may do what and how the Planner appears visually.

App no. 2: Wiki

One of the standard Microsoft Teams apps that is "included" when a channel is created is Wiki. Teams are often created for one-off projects because two separate groups come together that may need OneNote to collaborate efficiently. In this regard, the Wiki app is a simple way to get some things done efficiently. For example, it makes it easy to create a flowchart, record a meeting note or display a schedule. All in real time and completely secure.

App no. 3: Polly

This app is very popular. We often use Polly ourselves for internal purposes. With Polly's easily accessible user interface, you can quickly and easily create surveys in your Teams channels. If we have something that needs to be decided by the whole team, we send out a Polly to get the answers from our employees as easily as possible.
There are various use cases for Polly in teams. Some examples are
  • Decision between different documents that are forwarded to the customer
  • Voting on speakers at events
  • Decision on possible locations for the next team aperitif
  • and so on
