1️⃣ No more expensive hardware
Graphics-intensive applications in particular, such as CAD drawings, require high-quality hardware with a powerful CPU, a good graphics card and sufficient RAM. This can quickly become expensive. The Windows Virtual Desktop is the solution here. As all programs and the Windows 10 operating system are operated in the cloud, basic hardware is sufficient. Microsoft's Azure Cloud takes care of the rest. Windows Virtual Desktop also works device-independently: Whether on a desktop PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. You can access the familiar desktop interface on any device and always continue working exactly where you last left off.
2️⃣ Flexibility in terms of storage space and performance
A local server with built-in storage capacity more or less determines how much data can be backed up and processed. The cloud, on the other hand, is flexible. If you need more capacity, you simply book it. The new data volume is available within minutes. This is particularly interesting for companies that are growing rapidly or companies that need to expand capacity at short notice for a large order.
3️⃣ Security included
The location of the data center is freely selectable. We recommend data storage in one of Microsoft's Swiss data centers. There, the data is kept GDPR-compliant and secure. No matter how sensitive the data is, together with the Microsoft 365 security features, data security is fully covered.
4️⃣ Less administrative effort
The IT administrators in your company have far less work to do. As the desktop can be accessed from any device, the hardware only needs to be set up for remote access if it is to be used outside the office. With Windows Virtual Desktop, all you need is an internet connection, the Microsoft login and password and you can access the company network from anywhere in the world via the Azure Cloud. In addition, administrators do not have to worry about a complex IT infrastructure on site, as this becomes superfluous with Windows Virtual Desktop.
